The Couple

Tell us a little about how you met

We both met through mutual friends on a night out in 2014. We clicked instantly and went on a few dates after that. The following year we had our daughter Myia and the year after that we had our son Harry.

Talk us through the proposal

We had talked about marriage, so we went together and I picked my engagement ring. I had no idea when Kyle would propose. One Saturday evening we were going out for dinner and just as I came down the stairs Kyle had candles and flowers all set up and popped the question. It was just perfect and I was not expecting it at all! I had no idea! It couldn't have been any more perfect.

A few months later we started to look at venues - originally we were lookin at a destination wedding - we went to view a few but none of them done it for me. Once we came home I started looking at Resort weddings closer to home. Galgorm came up a few times so we booked our viewing appointment. This is where we met Megan and fell in love with the Resort.

We could not get over how helpful all the staff were, and how beautiful the hotel was. Megan had all the information we needed to know for booking which made the process so easy.

What made you choose a Resort location

We looked at The Phantom House and I fell in love with it straight away. I knew this was where I wanted to have my ceremony. For the reception room we both loved the Four Seasons Suite, it is just so beautiful and modern. Exactly how I pictured my reception room to be.

Tell us the most memorable part of your day

It would be difficult to pick a favourite part of the day as the whole day was just the best! But I definitely enjoyed the dinner! We all sat together at one large table and it was just great craic! We had so many laughs and just was such a lovely special time.

Advice for future couples

My advice for future couples would be plan the wedding that you want, not what everyone else wants. That's exactly what we did and we have absolutely no regrets and loved every minute of the day. Also take 10 minutes with your new partner by yourself to have a drink together and take it all in!
