Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
We met while working together and were friends for a few years before we realised there was a spark between us. We got to know each other better and made it official in 2019.
On New Year’s Eve 2022, Peter completely surprised me by proposing at midnight as the fireworks were going off - the perfect way to kick off the New Year! Later that year, we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world, making it a year we’ll never forget!

Why Galgorm?
We live in England but Peter is originally from Northern Ireland. We had viewed several venues local to us during our engagement but none of them felt quite right. When I asked Peter where he’d choose to get married in Northern Ireland, he immediately said Galgorm. I looked it up online, and within a few hours, I’d booked a virtual meeting to find out more.
We met with Donna on Teams, and we were sold right away! We booked our date on the spot and flew out a few weeks later to see Galgorm in person. When we arrived, it was everything I had dreamed of and so much more! The stunning setting, the atmosphere, and the incredible facilities made it absolutely perfect for us.
Everyone working at Galgorm was exceptional - so welcoming, professional, and accommodating. We knew straight away that our family and friends travelling over from England would love it as much as we did, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice!
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
It’s truly impossible to pick just one moment. Walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time was definitely one of the most unforgettable moments. Our wedding ceremony - led by Pastor James Clarke was beautiful. It felt like every part of the ceremony was perfectly aligned with who we are as a couple, and he made it feel incredibly personal and special. We’ll always remember how his presence and guidance helped create such a warm, heartfelt start to our day and our marriage.
The entrance into our reception as husband and wife, surrounded by all our closest friends and family, knowing they had travelled from near and far to be there and celebrate with us was so overwhelming in the best way, and something we’ll always treasure.
Another moment we'll remember was during our second song, Sky Full of Stars. As the song reached its peak, a burst of confetti cannons went off while everyone was on the dance floor. In that moment, everything just felt magical and so special.

She truly made our wedding journey a wonderful experience, and we are so grateful for everything she did for us! Rebecca was our on-the-day wedding coordinator, and once again, she was absolutely outstanding! Rebecca took charge of every detail with such professionalism and ease, making sure everything ran smoothly without us having to worry about a thing. She was always one step ahead, ensuring that the timeline was followed perfectly and that every little detail was taken care of. Her calm and reassuring presence made the day even more enjoyable, and we truly felt like we could relax and soak in every moment, knowing Rebecca had everything under control. Her dedication and warmth helped make our wedding day everything we had dreamed of and more!

Karen McCullough—an absolute star! We had 9 members of the bridal party to get ready, and Karen handled it all with such calm, happiness, and humor throughout the morning. She kept the atmosphere light and relaxed, which made the getting-ready process so enjoyable for everyone. All of our hair looked absolutely stunning and stayed perfectly in place all day and night! Karen’s attention to detail and skill truly shone through, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stylist to be part of our special day.

Chloe Lowry—she was amazing! With 8 of us to get ready, she handled it all with such ease, making the entire morning so much fun and relaxed. Chloe's calm and laid-back vibe kept everyone relaxed and happy, and it felt like we were all just enjoying the morning together. Our makeup was absolutely flawless and it stayed perfect throughout the entire day and night. Chloe's talent and attention to detail were evident in every look, and we felt stunning from start to finish.
Nanny Cat - We booked Nanny Cat to look after our 15-month-old daughter and she was absolutely incredible! From the moment we met her, we knew our little one was in the best hands. Nanny Cat’s expertise was invaluable—she not only ensured our daughter was happy, safe, and comfortable throughout the day, but she also alleviated any concerns we had in the run-up to the wedding. She was so reassuring and organised, and on the day, whether it was keeping her entertained, soothing her for naps, or just making sure she was safe and content, Nanny Cat did it all! Thanks to her, we could fully immerse ourselves in our special day, knowing our daughter was being very well looked after. We can’t thank her enough for the peace of mind she gave us and the wonderful care she provided!
