Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
We met during lockdown in March 2020 when no one was about but us on Portstewart promenade - mainly knew each other through friends.
On 17th November 2023 I surprised Jamie with a day trip to Paris for his birthday. The next day we went a drive round the North Coast like we always done on a free Saturday. I thought nothing of it until Jamie stopped in the same spot we ended our first date - Ramore Head out on the rocks by the sea. I knew at that point something was up, I said yes and then we headed to Amici for dinner. So all in all I thought I was surprising Jamie with a trip to Paris, meanwhile he was surprising me with the proposal!

Why Galgorm?
When we first booked a viewing of Galgorm I will be honest we hadn’t really the intention of picking it as already having viewed other venues, we thought it wasn’t our first choice. However, when we arrived two things changed our minds. Firstly, Donna was the most welcoming and accommodating, more than we could have asked for. She was willing to adapt and change to suit us no matter what the request. Secondly, the room, setting and grounds were all perfect and what we were looking for. Also knowing the service that Galgorm provides in terms of hospitality and meals we knew it would be great for guests.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
In all honesty the ceremony. But in terms of Galgorm, probably between the meal and the fireworks in the evening.
