Kerry & Ryan's Love Story

Love story x Galgorm

The Couple

Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal

We first met just over 9 years ago at a local village dance. We then crossed paths again a couple of years later, went on a few dates and never looked back. Fast forward to April 2023, Ryan was running the Belfast Marathon, I met him at the end of the finish line. We went to get a picture on the podium and after running 26.2 miles, he somehow managed to get down on one knee! I was in complete shock and it was captured by the BBC and broadcast live on TV!

The Setting

Ceremony

We had our ceremony in the beautiful Phantom House - a gorgeous setting that we really did not need to add any extra decorations to apart from a floral arrangement on the table at the alter. It made for a stunning, intimate ceremony.

Reception

We had our reception in The Renaissance Suite. Again, another absolutely stunning venue. Perfect size for all our guests to mingle during our reception drinks before heading into the main dining room which has the most beautiful bar decor.

Why Galgorm?

We chose Galgorm, not only for the beautiful venue, but for the people. We first met our initial wedding planner Jonathan Norrie, who we warmed to instantly. Jenny Campbell then took over from Jonathan and was absolute dream to work with. Everyone was great, nothing was ever a bother and they made our whole experience from the beginning so easy and enjoyable.

Tell us the most memorable part of your day

The ceremony was the most memorable part of our day. It was the first time we seen each other but also all of our nearest and dearest. The setting was perfect for our first moments as Husband and Wife.
