Tell us a little about how you met
Gavin and I met in a bit of a strange circumstance, he knew my cousins and my nana had passed away on Christmas Eve, he saw my cousin in a bar and passed on his condolences, my cousin rang me and said: "Colette I have the guy for you." Later that day I had a Friend Request on Facebook from Gavin, I accepted, messaged me and a date was arranged. We started going out on the 6th Jan 2013, the rest is history
Talk us through the proposal
Our proposal was lovely and private exactly how I wanted it, I was actually having a spa day in the Galgorm with my sister in law and I had come home, feeling all relaxed and walked into our house, and he had the whole house decorated in white bunting, fairy lights and champagne, when I opened the door he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Why Galgorm Resort and Spa
I always knew I wanted to get married at the Galgorm, for me, there is no other wedding venue in Northern Ireland like it. My brother got married here also and never even had to question where our wedding would be. The Galgorm is still my favorite place to go for just a night away and the Spa is by far the best. The staff are all so fabulous and always there to go the extra mile.
What made you choose a Resort Location?
I knew it was the most gorgeous and best wedding venue there was.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
Our Call through, I remember when the doors to our reception room opened and Gav and I danced into this amazing room, with all our friends and family there was by far the best part, the room looked so amazing and I was able to see all my wee touches come to life.
Advice for future couples
Best advice I was given was "Don't try and please 150 people, you never will just please yourselves"
