Tell us a little about how you met
I had heard many times in the past that the majority of people meet their spouse in the work place. On Friday 26th July 2013 that is exactly what happened to us. The Company that I had started working for were holding a staff barbecue. I went along and by the end of the evening, Chris and I had exchanged numbers and arranged to meet up again for a drink - and here we are!
Talk us through the proposal
In December 2017 Chris surprised me with flights to Sorrento for my Christmas present as I had always wanted to visit Italy. I got a bit suspicious though when I realised that the dates he had booked our trip for were over our 5 year anniversary. He changed the dates in the end to throw me off the idea that he was going to propose. To see Chris down on one knee while I was drinking a glass of prosecco on the edge of the Amalfi coast is a memory that I will cherish forever.

The first time that we stayed at Galgorm we were completely blown away! Everything was just fantastic from the food to the impeccable service that we received. We were so impressed with everything that we always discussed booking our wedding reception there if we got engaged. The tour that we received from the Wedding Planner just confirmed our decision, as they will do everything to accommodate you and provide you with the best suppliers to choose from.
What made you choose a Resort location
One of the main reasons that we chose a Resort location was for the beautiful surroundings that Galgorm Resort provides. The fact that our guests could choose from a range of accommodation options and places to dine over the weekend made it even more appealing. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Tell us the most memorable part of the day
I think if we had to pick one moment from that day that really makes us smile, it would have to be when we reached the top table after being introduced into the room as Mr & Mrs. To look down and see all of our guests clapping and dancing along with us was just amazing!
Advice for future couples
I know that everyone says it but please do not stress about things. Everything really does come together in the end and works out perfectly on the day. Take your time to enjoy every minute of it, including all of the planning as it is over before you know it. Make the day your own by choosing the things that you love, that is what will make your wedding day special and unique. You do not want to look back and regret anything about your day.
