Tell us a little about how you met
Ross and I met in January 2013. A mutual friend asked me if I wanted to try a new sport and I said I would love to. She brought me to GoLift Weightlifting Club where Ross trained and happened to be one of the assistant coaches.
Talk us through the proposal
In August 2015 we had just moved into our first house together and decided we needed to take a break after all the unpacking so we decided to take a walk in Glenarm Forest. Ross was acting a bit strange and talking about very random subjects but I didn't really twig on to what was happening. On our way round he started to walk behind me slightly then called my name. When I turned around he was on one knee with a ring in his hand.

Why Galgorm Resort & Spa
We had looked at other hotels but when we got shown round Galgorm on our appointment it was everything we could have hoped for and more. I think we knew then and there that we didn't want to get married anywhere else. The setting, the atmosphere, and the staff just made it very hard to say no to!
What made you choose a Resort location
It wasn't a deal breaker for us but we did enjoy the fact that we could spend the day after the wedding with many of our guests in the Spa. It was a great way to top off the whole experience.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
Our photographer Sam asked our wedding party to march to the top of the hill outside the main hotel building while he was down at the bottom . He made us run from the top to the very bottom while he took some shots. It was great. It was exactly the kind of fun I wanted to have on my wedding day and he captured a great moment for us.
Advice for future couples
Trust in your wedding planner. It was fantastic to have someone at Galgorm who could answer any and every question. I'm sure I had our planner Rose tortured but as a Bride, it was so reassuring to have someone who knew exactly what they were doing and was confident that everything was planned appropriately for the big day. Rose even managed to keep me calm the day before the wedding!
