Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
Myself and Kealan met in college while we were both studying medicine in Trinity College, Dublin. I cancelled our first date due to a bout of tonsillitis but we eventually rescheduled and the rest is history! 10 years later in May 2022, We got engaged on the top of Torc mountain in Killarney, Co. Kerry. It was lashing rain, there was no view but we both couldn’t have been happier! Thankfully the weather was much better on our wedding day in December!

Why Galgorm
We knew we didn’t want a long engagement and were happy to get married that same year. I had stayed in the Galgorm with my sister the year before and had been really impressed- the food, the service, the spa! Our wedding planner Donna was unfazed when we gave our 5 month time-line. Everything was possible, nothing was a problem. Once we viewed the Renaissance Suite, we knew this was the venue for us.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
The whole day was perfect from beginning to end-It’s hard to pick out just one moment. The ceremony in the Phantom House was really special. It is such a beautiful room and it was packed full of all of our favourite people. Meeting each other at the top of the aisle is a moment we will never forget. We had a Humanist wedding and thanks to our celebrant Stewart Holden, the ceremony was really relaxed and personal. We also organised a Céilí, later on in the night which had everyone up and dancing-it was great craic!
