We started dating whilst we were both at school and got engaged almost 6 years later at Portballintrae beach on 1st February 2020.

Why Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort
Following our engagement in February 2020, we knew we wanted to have a Christmas wedding later that year. Due to the time of year, we wanted a venue that was close by for guests travelling and somewhere that could also accommodate the Northern Irish winter weather. There was nowhere that could have fitted what we wanted more than the Renaissance Suite at Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort. It was absolutely stunning whilst ticking all of our boxes.
COVID-19 put a massive question mark over all of our plans for a wedding in December 2020 and our engagement ended up being quite stressful. We cannot thank Donna and the team enough for everything that they did. Donna managed to keep us calm throughout the planning of a COVID wedding and we knew that despite the changing regulations, she would make sure our day would be perfect. We can't thank her enough.
Donna and all of the team pulled the day off without a hitch from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, everything was so well organised - the drinks reception was a great time to catch up with our guests, the room looked stunning and the dinner was first class. Despite the regulations, the day was perfect and enjoyable for everyone, whilst ensuring the safety of our guests which was so important.
Afterwards, we decided to stay for two nights at The Resort and we absolutely loved our stay. It was great not having to travel after the wedding and getting to spend a couple of days unwinding. The spa, treatments, food and room were all amazing and made for a great minimoon. We would definitely recommend spending time at the hotel before going on honeymoon, so you can relax and take the day in.
