Tell us a little about how you met

We met in Kelly's Nightclub on Halloween night, 7 years ago. I was dressed as Eve (as in looking for my Adam) and Jonathan was Action Man.

Talk us through the proposal

Jonathan booked a surprise visit to Krakow, somewhere I had always hoped to visit. We went for a walk to Wawel Castle and he proposed during sunset at the very top, with stunning views of the Vistula River and swans below.

Why Galgorm Resort & Spa

We looked at so many options, even getting as far as booking another venue. I still had reservations, however, and booked a consultation with the wedding team at Galgorm. We fell in love immediately and knew it would be perfect for our day, with the hotel looking after every last detail.

What made you choose a Resort location

We had guests flying in from all over the world for our big day. The Galgorm provided so many options including our rehearsal meal the night before in Gillies, an array of accommodation and the spa was a beautiful way to finish off the celebrations the following day.

Tell us the most memorable part of your day

Definitely walking up the aisle. I had been so nervous, caught up in the final preparations. Just before entering the Phantom House I felt such a rush of excitement. I was honored to have my dad walk me up the aisle towards Jonathan. I remember looking at him, the venue, the decorations, flowers and hearing the song he had chosen - 'Darlene' by the Lumineers.. Everything literally took my breath away.

Advice for future couples

Someone gave us this advice and I am so glad we took it: take a moment to find a quiet place during your reception, just the two of you, to take it all in. Make sure to be fully present in the day and stop to enjoy the most important moments.
