Tell us a little about how you met
Rebecca and I met when I went to Australia for my university placement. Rebecca was, in fact, my practice teacher for the placement and my first memory of meeting her was I was so scared of her and my first shift was working alongside her, however this is where all my fear was left as we totally hit it off and started a beautiful friendship which continued when I returned home to Northern Ireland, then I moved to Australia after Uni and the rest is history.
Talk us through the proposal
When I was younger we used to go to Blackpool on Holidays and I loved Blackpool tower and in particular the ballroom. So Rebecca and I were returning to the UK for a holiday and to see the Family. But unbeknown to myself Rebecca had already asked permission from my parents and organised to propose while we were in Blackpool, she had to bring the ring the whole way from Australia through security at Airports without me finding out, so as you can imagine she was very stressed out. So on our second day in Blackpool, we went up to the top of Blackpool Tower, to which Bek brought be to the side alone and she handed me her phone which started to play a video, it was a video of us and our story with train marry me as the song, I remember my heart pounding and I could just feel Rebeccas presence behind me but when the video ended I turned around to find Rebecca on her knee with the ring and she asked me to marry her. to which I obviously said YES and rushed to tell my parents who already knew the Prospal was happening lol. We all then went to my favourite part of the tower in the ballroom and Dad bought some champagne to celebrate. After celebrating Rebecca and I spent the remainder of the afternoon on the pier, and went on the Ferriss Wheel. It was a beautiful relaxed and best ever day.

Why Galgorm Resort and Spa
Galgrom is a beautiful setting with stunning grounds and the river. We loved that living in Australia while planning our wedding the packages had everything covered and Galgorm does all the hard work. Also loved that feeling of relaxing before the wedding as we stayed the night before and got to enjoy the incredible spa aswell with our bridal party and family.
What made you choose a Resort Location?
We choose a resort because we had guests coming from all over in particular Australia and liked the aspect of it being all in the one venue, the ceremony and the reception, we also liked that the packages covered everything and you could make adjustments to this.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
The whole day was amazing and we felt the most memorable and talked about part of our day was our speeches, in particular, the best man speech where he completely told the Brides complete secrets but it was hilariously funny. But for us both the most memorable part was our actual ceremony, everything about it was just as we had imagined and more. We wrote our own vows and that was the most special moment for us.
