Tell us a little about how you met
We met at “The Happiest Place on Earth”! We both spent a year working at Walt Disney World in Florida. Dave is from England and I am from Northern Ireland so if we hadn’t of met there our paths may have never crossed!
Talk us through the proposal
Dave secretly organised for me to have the weekend off work and brought me to a lovely little village in The Lake District called Arnside. He knows I love sunsets so he got down on one knee just as the sun was setting. (Though he got his timings slightly wrong so he was acting a little panicked as he hurried me along to the spot he had pre-planned!)

Why Galgorm Resort & Spa
I have loved Galgorm Resort and Spa for as long as I can remember. So when we started planning our wedding it was the first place we looked at. Luckily Dave loved it too! We adored the grounds, the service, the wedding packages and the close proximity to Belfast International Airport for all of our English friends and family.
What made you choose a Resort location
We chose a resort as it ticked all the boxes for us. There were lots of accommodation choices for our guests and it was really convenient for us to have our entire day under the one roof so to speak.
Most memorable part of the day?
Walking down the aisle was a huge moment for me. It was incredibly emotional as I walked in and saw all of our favourite people in the same place at the same time.
Advice for future couples
Don’t sweat the small stuff! Concentrate on getting the big things right and everything else will fall into place. Your guests don’t care if your invitations are printed on Ivory card or Beige! If anything goes wrong on the day just laugh it off and it will always be a funny story to tell.
