Meet Kerrianne

What was your first job? 

My first job was with a recycling clothing company, who received clothes to be sorted then transported to the less fortunate in Africa. I was there for around 3 or 4 years.

What inspired you to get into the hospitality industry? 

I came across an advertisement in the local paper from the UK government which offered to fund you to go over to America to work for three years. I saw this as my chance to travel and I went for it. This was my first job in reservations, and it was in a 5-star resort called The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. I then came home after that with enough experience to continue my journey in hospitality. 

How long have you been with Galgorm Collection? 

I have been with Galgorm Collection for 16 years now, my first job in the Collection was reservations and I was the only one! The reservations team now has 17 team members. Once I came back from maternity, I went into wedding reservations alone and I have been doing that now for 10 years. 

How would you describe yourself to someone who'd never met you? 

Bubbly, fun and friendly. The one who gets along with everyone and likes to feed the office. 

Which room type within Galgorm would you recommend to a newlywed couple? 

It has to be the Signature Suite, without question. It’s amazing, I love everything about it! The views, the kitchen, the bedroom, and the feeling of luxury that makes your celebration more memorable.

What is your favourite part of your job as Wedding Rooms Sales Co-ordinator? 

Chatting to all the lovely couples, some have become really good friends and I love that I play a part in ensuring their family are accommodated on such a special occasion. 

Who do you look up to/who inspires you? 

Jennifer Lopez (J.Lo) she can dance, sing and act. She has it all! She seems very down to earth and my kind of person, I think we would be great friends! 

What website/app could you not do without?

It would have to be the River Island website; I love nothing more than sitting down for a browse online. I’d take that over social media. 

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I was an adrenaline junkie most of my life from bungee jumping in Corfu to snowboarding and white water rafting in Colorado. I wouldn’t do as much now but I would definitely give everything a try. 

What is your greatest passion outside work and family? 

Ensuring I get some time for retail therapy, shopping and eating out!
