Meet Jonathan

What was your first job? 

Retail Assistant in a designer store in Belfast called “The Burrow” in 1997. 

What inspired you to get into the hospitality industry?

I’m a people person, I love to make the customers experience the best it can be. I learnt this when flying for Virgin Atlantic and it is something I have always strived to do in each employment since. As long as the customer is happy then so am I! 

How would you describe yourself to someone who’d never met you?

If I had 5 words to describe myself, it would be funny, sarcastic, personable, witty & caring. 

Which venue within Galgorm is your favourite? 

It has to be the Phantom House; it has a magical quality which you can see from the second you enter. The setting in the Phantom House makes the “I do” moments seem more like a scene from a movie! 

What is your favourite part of wedding planning? 

Building a relationship with a couple & making their dreams become a reality. I love hearing all ideas no matter how obscure as every couple is different and every couple deserves to celebrate their love in their own way. 

Who do you look up to/who inspires you?

My Father – His work ethic and importance of family has always inspired me. 

What website or app could you not do without?

Instagram, I love photography and capturing moments in time and Instagram helps you store them all in one place and go through for instant memories. 

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

Before I started flying with Virgin Atlantic, I was petrified of flying, but I was determined to make it! 

What’s your greatest passion outside work and family? 

Music, I love all genres! And also Travel, I just love exploring new places.
